With the significant increase in Salary Protection claims, it’s more important than ever that Scheme members know the steps to take if they ever need to make a claim.
First thing’s first, as soon as you become aware that your salary is due to reduce, it’s vital that you contact us; as we're not automatically notified of your absence from work due to illness or injury.
Ideally, you should contact us at least 8-9 weeks before your salary reduces. This is essential to allow sufficient time for all the necessary information about your claim to be gathered and assessed (e.g. details of your salary, sick leave, medical evidence). This will help us to give you the help that you need, as soon as you need it!*
