The role of the Executive Assistant (EA) is to provide administrative assistance to Cornmarkets executive team to include; Managing Director, Chairman and other Board Directors.

The EA will ensure the executives are represented professionally and efficiently at all times to clients, colleagues and industry contacts.  The role holder will be responsible for identifying and addressing the needs of the executives to ensure their time is utilised optimally, performing tasks in a proficient and professional manner.

The ideal candidate for this position is someone who exerts a flexible approach with the ability to work on their own initiative.  

Accountabilities of the Role

·       Providing full administrative support to the executives to include; effective time management of diary, managing meeting requirements and supporting the production of high quality presentations

·       Prioritising executive enquiries, requests and correspondence

·       Co-ordinating arrangements and materials for board meetings

·       Conducting research on a new software system to support digital board papers

·       Reviewing and updating our current processes and ways of doing things

·       Co-ordinating travel and hotel arrangements where necessary

·       Working across all departments within Cornmarket to assist in the development of wider company  initiatives & creating effective solutions

·       Event Management - organising and facilitating company events

·       Exercising discretion and confidentiality with sensitive company information

·       Supporting other delegated responsibilities where appropriate

·       Reviewing progress against stated action plans consistently working towards achievement deadlines

·       To comply with risk control and regulatory requirements that are relevant to this role

·       To maintain commercial awareness relevant to this role

Skills & Knowledge Required

·       Previous work experience as an Executive Assistant or Personal Assistant desired

·       Prior experience within a senior administrative role essential

·       Excellent office management skills with proven experience in multi-tasking with excellent attention to detail

·       Advanced computer skills essential: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

·       Experience navigating software systems

·       Excellent verbal and written communications skills

·       Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

·       Confident & amiable personality

·       Knowledge of risk control & regulatory environment
