Cornmarket Accessibility Statement

Accessibility Statement

Cornmarket is committed to making its platform(s) accessible, in accordance with European Union (Accessibility Requirements of Products and Services) Regulations 2023

This accessibility statement applies only to Cornmarket platforms listed below:

It does not apply to other content or websites published on any of its subdomains. These websites and their content will have their own specific accessibility statement.

These platforms are designed to comply with the technical standard for websites and mobile apps, EN 301 549 v.3.2.1. This closely follows level ‘AA’ of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 level AA.

Compliance Status

Cornmarket platforms listed are partially compliant with technical standard EN 301 549 v.3.2.1 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 level AA. See ‘Non-accessible content’ for more details.

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.

Cornmarket is committed to providing a platform that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability.

We are currently working with Vially and Vision Ireland to ensure we meet accessibility standards. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and adhering to the required accessibility standards.

Preparation of this Accessibility Statement

This Statement was prepared following an audit by a third-party, Vially, which focused on the aforementioned digital assets. The audit was carried out using a combination of manual and automated accessibility testing, and multiple platforms;

  • Windows (JAWS, NVDA),
  • Mac (VoiceOver),
  • iOS (VoiceOver) and Android (TalkBack) and their native accessibility tools.

In advance of this audit taking place, we engaged with the relevant third-party partners, who helped build and/host our digital assets, to improve to the websites’ overall accessibility and enhance our overall compliance with the new regulations.

Following the audit, a detailed log of residual issues has been created to measure against WCAG 2.2 standards. These are now being worked through, to further align the platforms with the WCAG 2.2 AA level of compliance.

This statement was created in consultation with Vially in June 2025.

The statement was last reviewed on the 27th of June 2025.

Non-accessible content

Cornmarket is committed to continuous improvements to meet accessibility standards.  Despite our best efforts to ensure the accessibility of these listed platforms, we are aware of some limitations, which we are working to fix, in collaboration with the relevant third-parties. Below is a description of known limitations and potential solutions. Please contact us if you encounter an issue not listed below.

Keyboard/Screen reader navigation is not yet accessible on parts of the listed platforms.

Skip to content link is not yet implemented.

Images – we are currently working through images to add contextual alternative text.

Forms – we are currently working through forms to add accessible error validation and focus.

Colour Contrast – we are further adjusting the colour contrast of all text, elements and backgrounds in order to reach a higher contrast ratio.

Link Text & Graphical Elements – we are working to remove links named ‘click here’ and ‘find out more’. Where possible, links and graphical elements such as icons, will be given clear labels.

Correctly structured content with good heading usage – we are creating logical heading structures on our pages.

Cross operating system compatibility – has not yet been implemented in every section. We are currently updating CSS for desktop and mobile.

Mobile navigation – along with cross operating system compatibility, once CSS has been updated, we will audit for mobile navigation and ease of use for screen readers.

Third-party content – there are areas of our website controlled by third-party companies, such as iframes supporting payments. These are not funded by, developed, or controlled by Cornmarket, but work is in progress to resolve as many issues related to these areas as feasibly possible.
