COVID-19 Information

Covid-19 Update

The safety and well-being of our employees and our customers is our main priority. We have put measures in place to allow many of our employees to work from home to reduce risks, while continuing to provide services and support to our customers.

Thank you to public sector employees and front line workers

We have been looking after the financial and insurance needs of public sector employees for almost 50 years, a role we are very proud to hold. Like the entire country, we are so grateful for everything you are doing at the moment. Thank you to the healthcare and front line workers who are working tirelessly during this crisis.

We understand that many of you, as teachers, nurses, Gardaí, fire fighters, public servants and civil servants, have had to greatly adapt how you work during this time to help the country. Sincere thanks to you all from everyone in Cornmarket.

We remain open for our customers

Our phone lines are open during this time and although you may experience some delays in contacting us by phone, we promise to answer our phones as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

We have, of course, cancelled all face to face appointments with our financial consultants and we will reschedule these in the future. However, you can speak to our financial consultants over the phone.

If you need to, remember you can renew or buy your car and home insurance online.

Helpline: Financial Advice over the phone

We have always enjoyed meeting our customers face to face under normal circumstances, and look forward to doing so in the future. For now, whilst we can’t meet you face to face, our qualified financial consultants can talk to you over the phone or using video chat and give you any financial advice and support you need at this time. Simply give us a call on (01) 420 0980 or email us on financialplanning@cornmarket.ie and we will book in a phone appointment for you. Our financial consultants will be flexible and can talk to you at a time that suits you best.

We know many families may face financial uncertainty at the moment, something we all hope is short-lived. If you are dealing with financial difficulty, please get in touch and one of our financial consultants will give you advice and talk you through your options.

Car & Home Insurance - 28 days grace

We know that everyone has a lot on their minds at the moment. If you are unable to get in touch with us before your car or home insurance renewal date or if it has slipped your mind because of everything else that’s going, we have agreed with the insurers that you will remain covered for up to 28 days to give you extra time to contact us. The only condition is that you must be able to show proof of intention to purchase e.g. an email from you to us.

Covid-19 is covered under Salary Protection and Life Insurance policies

We’ve had a large number of calls from our customers asking if their Salary Protection and Life Insurance policies would cover them in the event of them contracting Covid-19. The short answer is yes, you are covered. You can find more details on how Covid-19 is covered by Salary Protection here and by Life Insurance here.
