Mental Health Ally Training

The Ally Training Objective

Let’s celebrate Mental Health Awareness week!

What is mental health? Is it simply feeling ‘good’ all the time, or can we also hold space for feeling ‘bad’?

This training is all about becoming a better mental health ally to your colleagues, your friends and yourself.

What this course will cover

- Mental health continuum, stigma and reducing stigma.

- Noticing thoughts, emotions and behaviours that are signs of mental ill health

- Skills to support your own mental health.

- What it means to be a mental health ally

- How to support a colleague who may be struggling, supported with case studies

Plus: A live questions and answers session with Nollaig O’Sullivan

Can’t make the date?

We know that a lot of nurses and midwives won’t be able to make the live training session. That’s why we’re planning to send out a recording of the class to anyone who registers.
