We all know that planning for retirement takes more than saving while you work. That's why Retire Right covers everything from change, purpose and expectations to pensions, budgeting and inheritance planning in retirement. Below you will find out what's covered in each module.

The pensions landscape: Superannuation

When it comes to your retirement plan a great place to start is finding out what you’ll get from your Superannuation Scheme. This module will cover:

  • The four Superannuation Schemes in the Public Sector
  • How your pension and lump sum is calculated,
  • If you’ll be eligible for State Pension or Supplementary Pension
  • How Death Benefit changes in retirement

Tax in retirement

Did you know that all income is assessable for tax, even in retirement? In this module you will get a clear understanding of how the PAYE system works and what you need to know to remain tax compliant in retirement. We’ll also cover:

Inheritance planning

Ireland has one of the world's highest rates of Capital Acquisitions Tax (CAT). Without proper planning, you could end up giving Revenue a sizable chunk of your hard-earned money.
