Learn how to identify common but counterproductive coping mechanisms, such as emotional eating or overworking, and replace them with healthier strategies. Through mind-body exercises, you’ll develop practical tools to reduce stress and shift towards positive behavioural changes. This session will also revisit the psychological factors influencing behaviour change, empowering you to build habits that support long-term wellbeing.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Recognise and understand how stress impacts both your health and behaviour.
  2. Replace unhealthy coping mechanisms with healthier, more effective alternatives.
  3. Learn and practice mind-body techniques that reduce stress and promote sustainable behaviour change.

Anna McMahon

Anna is an international coaching psychologist and wellbeing consultant specialising in positive psychology and coaching psychology. She helps people learn, grow, and develop using evidence-based tools and techniques. Her approach is academic, practical, and applicable.

Through engaging workshops, coaching and psychoeducation Anna fulfils her passion for helping others to enhance their wellbeing. She believes that every person, institute, and organisation can be proactive in encouraging positive wellbeing and building mental health.

Anna is fully qualified with a BA in Psychology and MSc in Applied Positive Psychology & Coaching Psychology (Distinction). She is a member of both the Psychological Society of Ireland and the British Psychological Society. She is also accredited with the European Mentoring & Coaching Council (an endorsement only achieved by 1.6% of coaches).
