Register your school as there are a limited number available so early booking is advised.

How it works?

Presentations can be arranged by registering interest using above link.

Presentations will take place in a limited number of schools in Cork, after school as Croke Park hours. While this programme has a particular focus on female heart health, it is valuable for males too, and we strongly encourage all staff to attend.

What’s covered in presentation?

The 1-hour presentation covers:

  • Cardiovascular health signs & symptoms to be aware of
  • How heart attacks can present differently in females
  • What to do in an emergency, with hands-on CPR practice using a mannequin
  • The impact of hormones on female heart health.

Why is the focus on female heart health?

1 in 4 women die from stroke or heart disease*, and a woman’s risk of heart disease and stroke increases from around age 40. The good news is that 80% of premature heart disease and stroke can be prevented*. Signs and symptoms can present differently in females. Awareness and early intervention saves lives.
